Get excited, cry, curse, hate, love, and despise! If you’ve already read Damaged Girls I, then these emotions should be familiar. The Damaged Girls Family & Relationship Series began with an introduction to the complex love triangle of Steven Briggs, Jillian McConnell and Jessica Rodney. In the second book of the series, Damaged Girls II, get pulled deeper into the trauma and gain valuable knowledge of why Jillian and Jessica might be such easy targets for a womanizer such as Stevie. Jillian has to come to terms with the crumbling idea of love that she desperately needed to find in Stevie. And Jessica is forced to grow up and away from the man she so badly wanted to keep forever. Stevie even realizes that he needs to get a grip on the drama he created years back; while his decisions and behaviors continue to spiral deeper into selfishness. Unfortunately, Stevie’s insatiable appetite has not diminished, only causing him to become less likable.
Will the three ever learn? As life progresses, we must confront our past, move into our present and plan sensibly for our future. How will Stevie, Jillian and Jessica cope, when life just can’t seem to smile in favor of their original desires? Damaged Girls is not a romance novel outlined in love. It is not pleasant and idealistic, but very cruel and extremely unsavory. In fact, it is deep and rather dark at times. The story focuses on emotional, physical and sexual abuse, and how easily its effects can cause some to own the title of Damaged Girls.
UPDATED EDITION
Damaged Girls II edition by Janice Ross Literature Fiction eBooks
The tragedy and heartbreak continues in book 2 of the Damaged Girls. I enjoyed book 1 but this book was more intense and wouldn't let me put this book down until I had read the very last word.Steven continues to play both Jillian and Jessica. But his frustration is mounting at the fact that he is losing control and interest in his situation. Everyone has grown tired and weary of the tragedy that has occurred. Jessica's anger and fear continue to grow as she is learning how to become an adult, a mother, a friend...herself. Steven has taken her innocence away and left her on the side like garbage; she begins to grow in the book and pulls herself and her child to safety. Jillian has a difficult time as well. She has no family support and bears a heavy burden. Steven has done the same things to her that he does to Jessica. He uses, abuses, and discards women to suit his needs. His family and friends are sick of his actions and he finds less support than he thinks he deserves.
Damaged Girls II gives us a strong sense of how the mind works for victims of emotional, physical, and psychological abuse. My heart goes out to these girls. They may have let him in but he acted like a predator, taking advantage of their innocent youth. I felt the need to protect these girls from themselves and, especially, from Steven. The author has the wonderful ability to make her readers understand, empathize, and sympathize with her characters. The storyline was amazing and never faltered; creating a highly recommended page turner. After reading this book, you will be eagerly anticipating the release of book 3.

What I received from this read....
This author really gives the reader a lots of tragedy and heartbreak as the story continues from
"Damaged Girls I" with all the drama that was caused by Stevie and his women. I liked how this author was able to give the readers such a intriguing story showing the dysfunctional drama involving some very interesting characters where friendships will be tested. All of this will greatly bring out to the reader the emotional makeup of a damaged girls dealing with their traumatic events of their past in this doomed triangle. I found this a very interesting read about this predator who was a very sick and twisted person. As I was reading through this story I couldn't help but to wonder what tragedy will their be for a certain character and what can have been done to keep these type of people out of their daily life's? Now, I don't want to spoil it so I will say at this point you will have to pick up the novel and see for yourself how this author presents to the reader. I will say this author really knows how to speak her mind and give the reader something very important to know and think about.
"Damaged Girls II" will definitely grab your attention and since it leaves us with a cliff hanger we will have to go the next sequel for the rest of this interesting story.
So if you didnt read book 1 stop, read and come back! In the second book of the series, Damaged Girls II, I was thrown into Stevie and his sick twisted relationships. Being both girls have kids Steven and Stevie it was easy to see that is where the similarities end. Once again the author takes you deep into Stevie's friend and their bold opinions. I loved how Morgan would give him hell. She was so immune to his charm and look that it was troubling to him. There were times when I envisioned him trying to get over on her. Not my Morgan she let him have it.
As each girl grows and matures, Stevie is ever so present. It tells a sordid take of his powers over these two girls. The things he does and says will cause rage for sure.
Jessica's character at times really broke me. The author had me almost yelling at her to grow up. What I realized was that Stevie was so much like the younger version of her Dad that is when the "ding ding ding" happens for me. She will change in a bad way.
As for the Jillian character, she has so much turmoil thrown her way. I think she was my favorite. She is smart, stern and a great Mother. I mean who would take in the kid that belongs to your lover? Yes Jillian did. Her nurturing was important to Jessica. The fact that she cared for her son and his half brother the way she did only made me love her more.
As with book 1 the author wows you with a drama filled novel. It is one that you must read. The Jillian segments were, in my opinion, the best of the book. Now book 3 Will they learn from their mistakes? Will Jillian or Jessica move on? Will Stevie get his ass kicked? Darn it I want Morgan with a boxing glove pronto.
